start messageWe will all remember Mike’s gentleness, his professionalism and his dry sense of humor. Our lives have been blessed for knowing him. God Bless You Michael. We Miss You!  end message - Distance Education Staff

start messageSuch sad news. I worked closely with Mike on setting up my satellite receivers over the past few years and in fact I spoke with him just before Thanksgiving. We were scheduling a time to work together by phone to set up my new one. Mike was unfailingly helpful and patient with me (I'm not a techie) over the years. Although I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, I truly enjoyed our interactions. My condolences to the DE staff.  end message - Trish McFadden- Sanofi-Aventis Bridgewater

start messageI never meet Mike, but have spoken with him on a few occasions when I was having problems with our satellite system. He seemed to be a very kind and easy going man. I will miss his kind voice. My prayers are with him and his family in this time of need. end message - Lydia Babson

start messageMike was such a helpful person. Whenever I spoke w/ him he was always in a good mood. His personality came across in his voice and you could always tell he was such a nice person. My prayers go out to his family. end message - Betty

start messageI am truly saddened by this loss as well. I will miss seeing his kind face nearly every morning as I enter the back door of the loading dock area of Iacocca Hall. I did not have the pleasure of working with him directly in any of my distance courses, but my understanding is that he was one who worked behind the scenes to make it all possible for us. My most sincere condolences to his family and all of us at Lehigh. end message - Professor Vassie Ware

start messageWhat a pleasure Mike was to work with. He patiently put up with my lack of technical knowledge and was quick to share a story when the system was taking its sweet time coming to life. He welcomed my technical questions and always spoke at my level. I felt better about things every time I talked with him. Sounds like he made life better for a lot of people around him. end message - Mike Syfert

start messageMike is one of those guys that makes things work but you never know it becuase he is "behind the scenes" and not looking for credit. This is a tragic loss and I am glad I was able to meet him and have him explain some of the details of our distance classes.end message - Bob Trent
